ABOUT US

Our Lady of Hope School is a special school that caters for students with autism and complex needs from age 4 to 18 years. Our school day starts at 9am until 2.40pm, with 9 classes of mixed ages and abilities.

The Junior classes follow the Primary Curriculum and our Senior classes can follow the Junior Cycle - level 1 and level 2 Learning Programmes and Leaving Cert Applied.

Each classroom has its own “Quiet Room" for students to access throughout the day, as well as our Movement Room and two Sensory Rooms. Our Sensory Garden to the front of the school provides an outdoor space for our students to play, in addition to our multipurpose playground used for yard time. To the rear of the school is our Petting Farm, complete with chickens, rabbits and guinea pigs, as well as our outdoor horticulture classroom where our students can grow plants, fruit and vegetables.

Our school uniform consists of a navy tracksuit with a sky-blue polo shirt. Our school logo patch can be bought through our Parent’s Association or from our secretary.
